Another Funny Story

A drunk guy hails a cab. Once he is in the cab he offers the driver a twenty dollars to take him around the block twenty times, the taxi driver agrees. Before the driver was able to drive around the block once, the drunk says:" Can you step on it, please, i am in a hurry". 

Children Stories: The Not So Smart Mule

I remember back in the days, when I was a youngster and my mom used to read me bedtime stories. Now I tell my kids stories at their sleep time. Yesterday I told them the following story.

There was a farmer that lived in a small house in a little village along with his family. He had a big farm that he planted fruits and vegetables in, he also had two cows, few goats, a mule and a whole lot of chickens. The farmer sold the milk from his cows and goats, the eggs the chicken laid, and whatever fruits and vegetables he grew in his field for  a living. He always used his mule to carry whatever goods he wanted to sell or any goods he bought to and from the village's market on the other side of the river that separated his farm from the rest of the town.

Once the farmer bought 2 bags of 100 pounds of sugar that he loaded on the mule's back to bring them back home. While, the farmer and the mule were crossing the river, the mule tripped, its knees buckled causing the sugar bags to go under water. Most of the sugar melted in the water. The mule was so happy because his load became much lighter, but the farmer wasn't too happy about losing his sugar. Few days later, the farmer was back in the market to buy some cotton. As usual, the 2 huge cotton bags were loaded on the mule's back. Even though the bags were very big, the cotton was very light. Once in the river, the mule remembered how hid load got lighter when the sugar melted in the water, so it decided to get it's cotton load under water thinking it  was going to become lighter. But, as soon as it did that, it realized that the load became way heavier than it was because the cotton absorbed a lot of water. The mule couldn't lift it's load any longer, and it almost drowned, had it not been for the farmer's quick thinking of dropping off the load into the river.

The mule almost lost it's life in the river because of what it did, and never ever tried to do the same again since that incident.

Children Stories: A Cat's Game.

 A cat was playing and having lots of fun,
when it saw a mouse close by, run.
The mouse ran much faster when it saw the cat,
that tried to catch up to it, but couldn't, cause it was kinda fat.
The mouse found a hole that was just big enough for it.
It hid inside, and hoped the cat would soon quit,
but the cat, simply, wasn't going to give up the snack,
so it waited right by the hole, ready to attack.
The mouse knew what was on the cat's mind,
while the cat was trying to get it outside.
After a good  while, the cat started to walk away,
thinking the mouse was in that hole to stay.
But, to its surprise, it saw the mouse stick out its head,
so, it turned around, and decided to stick around instead.
The cat hid in a spot the mouse couldn't see,
and jumped on it when it tried to flee.
The mouse thought it was surely going to be eaten and dead,
but the cat was a house pet, that was very well fed.
It only wanted to play with, not eat the mouse,
so when it had enough fun, it ran back in the house.
The mouse couldn't believe it was still alive,
and was back in the hole in one big dive.
Soon after, it ran away, and went back to where from it came,
thinking, it got no one else but itself to blame,
for not listening to what its mother said.
Don't go where the cats are, if you don't wanna wind up dead.

A plane was transferring mentally ill patients to a new medical facility when all the patients decided they wanted to play soccer. They were making so much noise to the point where the captain couldn't take it any more. So he told one of the hostesses to do whatever to get them to be quiet. Few minutes later, the plane was very quiet, even quieter than before, so the captain called the hostess and asked her:" That was amazing, how did you mange to do that? what did you do?",  "It was very simple actually, i just opened the plane's door and told them, if you want to play go play outside, so they all got out." She replied.

Children Stories: My Little Bundle Of Joy.

             I remember  it like it happened yesterday, Despite the fact that my little princess is over 13 years old now. As soon as , my significant other said: "Honey, i believe it's time." It was around 7a.m. in the morning, and i was brushing my teeth, i leaped out of the bathroom and put on my clothes so quickly that i didn't realize that i buttoned my shirt unevenly with one side dangling lower than the other. I called the doctor and informed him to meet us at the hospital, helped my wife to the car and began zooming in and out of traffic trying to get to the hospital as fast as i could. We ended up being there in approximately 25 minutes, just a tad more than half the time it normally takes to get there.

            My wife was rushed to the delivery room with me by her side trying to comfort her. A little over an hour or so of struggle for my wife and everyone else in the room my baby girl was delivered. The nursing staff, and the doctor made certain everything was ok with  her, she was cleaned up, and one of the nurses handed her to me saying:" Here is your bundle of joy dad, congratulations, you've got a healthy baby girl." The words couldn't describe the way i felt at that moment. I became overwhelmed with joy as i felt like i was holding the whole wide world in my arms. At that time i thought of what my father used to say to me all the time when i was a youngster myself, whenever i asked how much he loved me. He always responded by saying:" I love you more than anything in the entire world, and you will know  what i mean precisely once you become a father yourself."

            My life has changed dramatically ever since my daughter came into this world, as i became a more careful driver, stayed out of trouble, worked harder than ever before, realizing that i need to be there for her. Like i pointed out previously, she is a little in excess of 13 now, and i had a son Three years after she was born. I pray to The almighty everyday to keep them safe and healthy for me as they are my life.

Children Stories: A Trip To Disneyland

          John and Nancy were so excited, because their parents promised them a trip to Disney world if they did well in school, so the kids were studying hard for their finals. They didn't know that their father has purchased the plane tickets and booked the hotel already. After weeks of preparing for their tests, John and Nancy passed their tests with flying colors.

          A week later, they were on their way to the airport to catch the early flight to Orlando. They were very happy, as that was their first flight ever. So as soon as they boarded the plane, they started fighting for the only window seat they had. Their father had to intervene and tell them that one of them would take the window seat on the way there, while the other would take it on the way back, so Nancy said:" ok John, you can have the window seat and i'll have it on the way back." "Thanks Nancy." John said with a big smile on his face, as he settled into his window seat.

          As soon as, the plane took off, Nancy started to complain about getting an ear-ache caused by the pressure change, while John was so busy watching out the window, and telling his mom how the cars on the highway beneath looked so tiny from the plane. about a half hour later, they were both sound asleep. They slept throughout the flight, and woke up only when their mother told them that the plane was about to land. Soon after they landed and got their luggage, their dad went to the car rental counter to get the car he booked for the trip. Once he got the car, John asked:" Are we going to Disney now daddy??"
"No, not now John, we'll go tomorrow"the father replied.
"But why not now daddy?" Nancy asked.
"Because we have to check into the hotel first, and then go get something to eat, and by then , it'll be too late to go to the parks." Her mother said.
"Ok, mom, but we have to go there first thing in the morning."Nancy said.
"Yes, right after we shower and have breakfast, i promise" the father said.

           The next morning, John was up by six a.m. and woke everyone up.
"Up, up everyone, we have to go, we don't want to be late." he shouted. so, all of them woke up, took their showers, had their breakfast at a nearby restaurant, and off to Disney they were. John and Nancy loved all the fun rides in the park and got to have lunch with Mickey.

            The family had lots of fun visiting Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Universal Studios throughout the week they spent in Orlando. The kids thought that was the best week ever on their way back home. They were already asking their parents when will they be back before they even left.
